Hi everyone :D,

This time I played Grim 1. I wanted to play this warlock since his feat was changed back to denying charges. I’m missing many models for 3 battle engine build so I decided to try him in Storm of the North theme.
Amazon Fire 8 & War Room 2 Compatibility I bought a Fire 8 during Prime Day for the sole purpose of using it during games with War Room 2. I cannot kind the app in the Amazon App Store and when I go to try to force install it from Amazon through my PC it says that the app is not compatible with my device.

Northkin Raiders (min) [9]
Pyg Lookouts (max) [10]
In theory list should work well into mele oriented armies. I had 2 opportunities to test it.
Game 1 ended bottom of 2. I used my feat standing in the middle of the table camping 3 fury happy than no one can charge me but Denegra 1 managed to apply her feat, Crippling Grasp and numerous shots from Satyxis gunslinger brought me down.
I definitely underestimated fire power of this list. I will be careful next time ?
Next game was against Butcher 3 in Jaws of the Wolf. I played against Tadeusz who decided to try out Butcher with Sorsha 0.

Kayazy Eliminators [5]
Unfortunately I lost the roll and Tadusz decided to go first.
Deployment:
Losing ambush is sad. Hex hunters are proxying Lookouts. I know that Snow Templates should be bigger but I could not find them.
Khador turn 1
Sorcha cast 2 boundless charges. Malakov used Red Line on his jack.
Butcher uses Silence of Death on himself, casts Energizer and walks forward.
Jakcs charge and run forward.
Trollbloods turn 1
Runebearer used Harmonious Exaltation. Grim used snipe, shoot at Ruin at moved remaining fury to stone.
Stone activated with Wil Winds up.
Bests reel up and run. Remaining models also ran staying out of relevant threats.
Khador turn 2
Butcher upkeeps SoD and allocates 1 to Ruin. Forge Seer gives Ruin next focus and he charges at Northkin Riders. He rolls poorly and I pass some tough rolls so some of them survived.
Remaining jacks are rushing forward.
Trollbloods turn 2
Stone activates with Stone Cold up.
Riders charge forward to makes some space. Bears go forward and they manage to almost kill middle Marauder.
Grim activates, casts Rage on Bomber, uses his Feat and shoots ruin once again. Eilish gives puppet master to Bomber who charges Ruin. Thanks to reroll of low damage roll he manages to finish him.
Left flank is pushing forward and right
2 CP for trollblods
Khador turn 3
Butcher can’t do much due to my feat but he still doesn’t allocate much focus.
Marauders in the middle try to kill Bears but they both do 7 boxes to single bear, not impressive. Forge seer kills one rider in the zone with spell. Butcher cast energizer so left marauder can walk out of my feat and charge last rider in the zone. Valka countercharges him into contesting range and survives remaining attack.
Kayazi eliminators run but left ones fail to reach my flag.
On the right side jacks push little more forward.
3:1 for Trollbloods Tyme 2 2018 7 – effective time tracking number.
Trollbloods turn 3
Eilish gives Grim puppet master. Grim casts Rage on Bomber once again, moves behind the wall and tries to hit Eliminator in meler with boosted shooted. He fails even with reroll and kills fire eater she was in melee with. I try to kill her with to sprays from fire eaters (one boosted) and raider charge but I miss everything. Valka hurts jack a bit.
Bomber and Bears manage to clear jacks in the middle. Bears in the right zone kill next heavy.
Fire eaters with help of Lookouts manage to kill Kayazi and Gobber on flag.
5:1 for Trolls
Khador turn 4
It’s Butcher turn ? He gets boundless charge, charges bear. Kill 2 bears with flashing blade, pulls some more models and after feat and few more flashing blades he killed everything within 5” of him. Stone died in the process and he is camping 4.
Without stone jacks on the right side manage to kill Bears and my zone is contested once again with eliminator.
5:3 for Trolls
Trollbloods turn 4
It probably should be turn of caster kill attempt on Butcher but I messed up and Grim is like 12,1” from Mauler so I can’t use rage on him. Because of that I continue my scenario play and I hope I won’t die.
I manage to kill both eliminators. Contest everything and move Grim out of Butcher charge range. But I missed the fact that he can charge Fell Caller which was already activated.
7:3 for Trolls
Butcher turn 5
Tadeusz clock was really low but it was enough to use boundless charge on butcher. Activate him, casts energizer. Charge fell caller, drag Grim closer. Hit both with Flashing blade and finish grim with redirected charge attack.
Victory for Khador.
Afterthoughts:
I played much better than previous game but I still made many mistakes.
Distance between Grim and Mauler was real game changer. I could Rage Mauler, knock Butcher Down with Mantrap, do boosted shoot with Grim and deliver 4 auto hitting POW19s. I could also use Eilish spell. Not really high odds but maybe correct choice when attrition was not in my favour.
I think I also made big mistake at deployment level. Mauler did nothing all game and Bomber was mostly in melee. Mauler in middle zone would have done more work and Bomber still could do some shoots while taking care of right zone. There would be some issues with keeping them in control range and not dying to Butcher but still worth considering.
Grim Feat is really powerful and his gun is nice but I hadn’t many ideas what else he can do. Probably I felt like this because of my lack of skills with him and Butcher threat.
After trying Borka and Kolgrima he felt worse that those 2. I left with trying Madrak 2 and I need to decide on some serious pairing. I know it’s little naive to make assessments based on so few games but I don’t really have timer for many experiments and I need working pairing sooner than later ?
